These videos were created during a Launchpad Creative Residency at WGBH Boston. Our prompt was to create pilots for an animated science education series for social media. The goal was to create a science narrative more entertaining than instructional.
My narrative began as a small group brainstorm about superpowers we wish plants could have. This led to a lot of research about the amazing things plants already do - and things humans have done built or developed using them.
Paradaida / Paradise is the overgrown world the main character (a former botanist - turned neurologist - grandmother) becomes responsible for.
These videos were presented at the end of the Launchpad Residency.
