These pieces / experiments were inspired by Kelli Anderson's Cooper Union Paper Engineering class. She is a fantastic teacher (and artist! on insta @kellianderson) - curious, engaging, creative and patient. The class introduced various paper artists, folding systems, and allowed time each week for class projects and individual explorations. One of the coolest parts was taking the class via Zoom, as there were participants from Europe and the US ... and it seemed like different people were inspired by different prompts, leading in a lot of different directions. I especially love the movement and possibilities of pleats / lenticular images / flexagons ... more to come!
